PG&E to Conduct Annual Tree Trimming Work for Safety Along the Iron Horse Trail
March 18, 2022, Danville, unincorporated Alamo, CA – The Contra Costa County Public Works Department has issued a permit to Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) to trim trees and remove brush along the Iron Horse Trail. Tree removal will not be part of this project.
This annual, routine work is expected to begin the week of March 21, 2022 and will continue until April 30th, 2022 in Danville and unincorporated Alamo. Work will occur between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is expected to be complete by the week of May 2, 2022, weather permitting. The work will be conducted by PG&E contract tree crew Mowbray’s Tree Service.
This work is to improve trail, fire, and general safety along this portion of the Iron Horse Corridor. The trail will not be blocked to pedestrian and bicycle access, though PG&E contractors will be pruning trees in the area.
