July 27, 2021, North Richmond, CA – Contra Costa County Public Works will begin construction of the Fred Jackson Way First Mile/Last Mile Connection Project starting on Monday, August 2, 2021 through Monday, February 28, 2022, barring unforeseen circumstances. Work will occur between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, weather permitting. Work will take place on Fred Jackson Way, from Brookside Drive to Grove Avenue, in North Richmond.  The intersections of Market Avenue and Silver Avenue, at Fred Jackson Way, will be fully closed for approximately 112 days during construction, 24 hours per day. Message boards providing notice of upcoming road closure will be placed near the project site prior to road closure.
