[ARCHIVED] Board of Supervisors Honors Veterans at a Virtual Veterans Day Celebration November 10

Veterans day ceremony 2020

Contra Costa County’s Board of Supervisors honored veterans and invited the community to a virtual live-stream of our Annual Veterans Day Celebration on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. The Social Distancing Order of September 14 prevents a public gathering to ensure public safety.

The Board of Supervisors thanks all veterans and their families, recognizing these heroes who protect the ideals of freedom and democracy,” said Board Chair, Supervisor Candace Andersen. “Our Veterans did not let us down during difficult times, and that is why it is so important during the COVID-19 pandemic that we continue our annual tradition of honoring them.”

If you missed the Veterans Day Ceremony, you will be able to watch, normally within 48 hours, online, as part of the November 10, 2020, Board of Supervisors meeting. You can also find more information and prior ceremonies on our Veterans Day Celebration webpage.

The ceremony will be rebroadcast on Wednesday, November 11, at 5 pm, Saturday, November 14, at 7 pm, and Sunday, November 15, at 11 am on Contra Costa Television (CCTV) channels: Comcast Cable 27, ATT/U-Verse Channel 99, and WAVE Channel 32, or www.contracostatv.org.

Please contact Contra Costa County Veterans Service Officer Nathan D. Johnson at (925) 313-1481 for any questions about this year’s event.
