We received several questions about the repair project that we want to clarify.
The new road width will have 27.5 feet of pavement between the concrete railings. The previous paved width was approximately 20 feet.
We expect that the retaining walls will provide at least 75 years of service life with routine maintenance.
The Public Works Maintenance crews are continuing to maintain the access road. Yesterday, they filled potholes and placed delineators around the speed bumps. They will perform additional maintenance work next week.
We have received concerns about drivers speeding and going around the speed bumps on both the temporary access road and on Leon Drive. Your neighbors on Leon Drive have allowed the use of their private road for this access so please be respectful of their property. For everyone’s safety, please keep speed to 15 miles per hour and stay on the road.
