The Terminal Replacement Project at Buchanan Field

Contra Costa County Airports is pleased to announce the beginning of construction on The Terminal Replacement Project. The Airports Division was awarded multiple federal and state grants to build a new Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) General Aviation Terminal and Administration Building. The new building will be just under 20,000 sq. ft. and will include multiple aircraft rescue and fire fighting bays, a state-of-the-art general aviation terminal, public meeting spaces, and the administration offices for the Contra Costa County Public Works Airports Division.

JSX is still operating at Buchanan Field but has been moved to a temporary terminal space while the Terminal Replacement Project is under construction. Check the site access plan below to see available parking areas and the location of the temporary terminal.
