Board-Appointed Advisory Committees and Commissions
Affordable Housing Finance Committee (AHFC)
The Affordable Housing Finance Committee (AHFC) works with the Contra Costa County Department of Conservation and Development to develop recommendations for the Board of Supervisors concerning the allocation of Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership Act funds among eligible affordable housing programs and projects in the County.
The purpose of the Contra Costa County Historical Landmarks Advisory Committee (HLAC) is to advise the Board of Supervisors on matters relating to the identification and preservation of historical resources within the County.
Provides advice to staff and the Board on successful implementation of the Climate Action Plan, opportunities to realize equity and fairness in sustainability programs that support the Climate Action Plan, and engage Contra Costa County residents and businesses in sustainability issues.
The zoning administrator hears and decides applications for variance permits, conditional use permits. advise the planning commission on minor subdivision and tentative maps and proposed development agreements.
