Computer Vision Care (CVC) Program Replaces the VDT Plan
Effective 1-1-2014, the CVC Plan replaced the VDT Plan. If you were eligible to receive benefits through the VDT Plan, you are eligible to receive benefits through the CVC Plan. More details are included in the Open Enrollment Guide.
Qualifications for Program
Employees must meet the following qualifications to participate in the CVC program.
Permanent full-time or a permanent part-time employee of Contra Costa County;
Employee's job requires use of a Video Display Terminal for at least two hours per day as certified by the employee's supervisor; and
Employee must be a represented member of an eligible bargaining unit.
Members of vision service plans are entitled to receive annual notification of their vision service plans' grievance processes. As a result, the attached notice contains information regarding VSP's grievance system, including the methods by which VSP members can communicate their comments to VSP.
